This is made from a reclaimed Kentucky Bourbon Barrel slats / staves. It is solid white oak from a used Maker’s Mark barrel & has a charred back which has been scraped & polyurethaned. Used staves may have rough spots, splinters, markings from the metal rings that held the barrel together & other imperfections which are expected from used barrels. These are character markings. These have a fairly flat edge & can be placed on a shelf. They are bowed somewhat because they form the “belly” of the barrel. They vary in width from one end to the other which is how they were originally cut to form a barrel (& not straight like they would be if bourbon was aged in wooden boxes). These make great gifts & stocking stuffers (since they have charcoal on backs - lol) for a bourbon & adventure/ travel enthusiast. My last photo labeled “My Stock Photo” shows how these look sitting on a bourbon bar shelf - stave shown in this one photo is different than the stave that is being sold in this listing.
