One of the finest nautically inspired clocks ever made in USA The Mariner is an exact reproduction of an original yacht wheel, first patented and produced by Chelsea Clock in 1911. Both cases are forged from solid brass. The forged brass bezel opens with the original "shield" hinge and latch design. The clock’s dial is made from deeply etched brass then hand silvered. Hand-crafted Ship’s Bell mechanism, with jewel movements. Strikes the traditional ship’s bell code one bell for each half hour on a four hour watch. The wood base and back are made of solid mahogany.
