The knife has a stacked leather washer handle with a Blued Blade. This item is Excellent, see photo's for condition. No nicks in the blade. The blade has some evidence of sharpening, scratches on the blade edge. The knife is marked on the blade: USN and Camillus N.Y. The leather handle is soft and supple, no cracks or breaks in the handle, see photos for condition. The Leather Scabbard is an original WWII vintage item. The scabbard is not marked. The leather is soft and supple. No rips or tears, some minor scuffing on the front. There is a name written on the rear of the scabbard. See photos for details and condition. This is a Very Nice Example of a WWII USN Mark 1 Fighting Knife. If you see M.H. Coles Book's "Best of US Military Knives, Bayonets & Machetes" page 104, #3.
