Description: Original WW2 RAF (War) map entitled "NORTH SEA" featuring ARNHEM, NIJMEGEN, WALCHEREN, OOSTERBEEK, VENRAIJ, ROTTERDAM, AMSTERDAM etc It belonged to Sergeant N. Palmer (748710) of the PHOTOGRAPHIC RECONNAISSANCE UNIT. (As this map merely bears his surname, my last photo shows a small collection of his maps in order to verify his additional details. The other maps are not included in this sale.) The 'NORTH SEA' sheet was predominantly used by COASTAL COMMAND and BOMBER COMMAND for operations over the North Sea and into Continental Europe.
