Description: A fantastic original WW2 BATTLE of NORMANDY map entitled "FLERS" which also features CONDE-SUR-NOIREAU - a critical road and river crossroads that was heavily bombed on D-Day to prevent German reinforcements heading for the landing beaches. This area then saw fierce fighting as part of the Allied push to close the "FALAISE POCKET", and the German counterattack towards MORTAIN. Produced at a detailed scale of 1:50,000. Printed in April 1944. In good field used condition, with a small hole (see photos). Will be shipped as per its existing fold lines.
