Description: Belgian Original First Release Movie Poster - The Woman In The Window (1944), Edward G. Robinson, Joan Bennett, Raymond Massey, Dan Duryea, Edmund Breon, Fritz Lang, Film Noir, Femme Fatale, Love Triangle, Blackmail, Extortion, Murder, Dream, Portrait, Surprise Ending Here is an original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Fritz Lang's noir classic, The Woman In The Window. When a conservative middle-aged professor engages in a relationship with a femme fatale, he's plunged into a nightmarish world of blackmail and murder. This poster is from the first release of the film in Belgium in 1947 and is printed on the reverse of a war ordnance map which was common practice to conserve paper after the war. This poster is in very nice condition despite having the top blank white border being trimmed. Originally, there was a totally blank white border with no graphics. This border can always be replaced with simple restoration. The movie was re-issued in Belgium in the Fifties and a new poster was commissioned with different artwork. The poster offered here is rarer and definitely from the original Belgian release. DESCRIPTION: Woman In The Window (1944), International Pictures, Directed by Fritz LangCOUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium 14.5" x 18" CONDITION: Good to Very Good Trimmed Folded Condition. Fully trimmed top white border, but there was no other graphics in the missing white border. Some minor bumps and paper nicks in the surrounding white borders. It appears that there may have been a tax stamp in the lower right corner which had fallen off. Printed on the back of a map. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 25 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
