WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHITES 400V and 375V BOOTS?: These heavy leather black work boots are the coveted Whites 375V 8-inch original Smokejumper boots -- a White's rep told me the ONLY DIFFERENCE between the 375V boots and the 400V boots are 2 inches in height (two inches are trimmed off the top to make the 375V). They confirmed both models have the same 4811 lasts. If you want to confirm that information please call White's off their website (they answer their phone promptly and are very helpful). These boots appear to have never been worn beyond try ons and brief walk arounds -- you will need to break them in like any new pair of White's professional work boots. Please zoom in on my high resolution photos -- they are the actual boots and condition you will receive, and are an important part of my description -- if any area is not pictured it shall be considered in new condition. You will receive only these items pictured: boots, laces, tongue guards. BOOT HISTORY: I got these boots from a retired firefighter who got them new through his department's annual boot allowance -- he laced them up, tried them on and stored them laced up in the box on the shelf for over a decade until now when he cleaned house of his gear. I just applied generous applications of White's Boots Oil and Whites Heavy Duty Leather Preservative. The leather is clean, pliable, soft and in like new condition overall as shown in my photos and noted in my description. DEFECTS: I would list them as NEW (old stock), but the box is beat up, and the laces naturally shaped the leather a little from sitting laced up on the shelf. New boots from White's would be flat in that area (very small observation, but I do not list items as "new" unless they are in perfect condition like they come boxed from the factory, my personal peeve). Otherwise the boots look, feel and smell like a new pair of quality leather boots. I SEE NO USER DEFECTS OR OTHER DEFORMITIES: No visible signs of wear on the Vibram soles -- heels or lugs. No unfortunate scrapes or scratches in the leather. The leather is soft and pliable. Toe boxes are soft and maintain perfect natural form.Boot interiors are in new unused condition.
