Jute is 100% natural and is produced from flowering plants in the genus Corchorus, of the mallow family Malvaceae. The best known and most popular of all the smudging herbs, white sage is used for spiritual cleansing and protection. In addition to its spiritual purification properties it is also believed by many to assist in attracting both prosperity and wisdom. Sage smoke is said to absorb evil spirits, anger, and negative energies from the air or the person burning it. To use: Hold the sage bundle at a 45 degree angle and ignite. Let it burn for a few seconds before lightly blowing the flame out. Waft the smoke around your home to clear surrounding energies and invite peace and positivity into the space. When finished, place the sage bundle in a bowl with the ignited tip down. It will put itself out. To lengthen burn time, blow on the embers. Please be careful when burning one of the bundles as they are hot and will drop ashes that are hot , it is good to use a shell or some other heat proof container with sand to put the smudge out, and keep from starting a fire. As these are all made by hand, please allow for some size differences. We do our best to ensure that the dried product is as close as possible to 6 inches long
