Description: This is a beautiful WASHINGTON DC METROPOLITAN Police commemorative challenge coin. Coin is about 1 9/16" in diameter and raised lettering on both sides with a reeded edge. Reverse side is St. Michael the Protector, Patron Saint of Police and the words "In God We Trust". Coin is contained inside an acrylic snaptight holder. The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia, abbreviated as the Metropolitan Police of the District of Columbia (MPDC), or in general simply called the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), and in the U.S. and D.C. codes referred to as the Metropolitan Police force, is the primary law enforcement agency of Washington, D.C.
