Buy with confidence!Here's The Run Down:This is a Antique 1890s George Washburn Acoustic Parlor Guitar that's survived to play another century and is definitely one that you have to play/hear to appreciate. It plays excellent with NO buzzing or fretting out and sounds wayyyy bigger than it is! in great shape over all considering its 125 +/- year old. Think for a minuite... This guitar has survived into its 3rd century!!!! Wow!! It's in the cosmetic condition shown, so be sure to see all of the pics (more available upon request). I tried to take really good pics, so you can judge for yourself (see pics). This guitar appears original, including the finish, that black lights consistently over the entire guitar. It has obviously had some old repairs over the years, but less than most I've viewed for $100s more. There are no neck or headstock repairs, the back appears repair free, and there are some glued top and side cracks that are solid and not in need of attention. I'm sure the bridge was reglued at some point, but is nice and tight and was cleanly done if so. It could use a new set of string pins. The finish will have checking, dings, scratches, marks and/or flaws here and there as pictured, but still extremely respectable for its age. The tuning pegs show their age, but work as they should. The frets and fingerboard are in excellent condition (possible re-fret).This Vintage/Antique Washburn plays and sounds great! Definitely in the top 5 of my favorite playing and best sounding parlors. Although I think its set up perfectly, everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be your responsibility and cost to have it set up to your liking. The action is 1/8" at the body with a great neck! Not much left on the saddle for adjustment.The included case is old, in rough shape and not the original. Using for extra shipping security.
