Description: This is a large Anubis statue from the Great Move Ride. It was always unique but now that the ride is demolished, I guess it’s one of a kind! It was very firmly glued and bolted down to a grouping of urns and a sarcophagus to the stairs on the left in the Anubis Temple. So it would have been the staircase the tour guide came down after they killed off the gangster/bandit. It’s very old, and of course not the best quality as it was just one of many props made to fill those sets. It’s made of some type of mortar or plaster, and is painted over. It’s very heavy! It also has a few broken places that have always been so. Not sure if they were made that way or just years of being messed with from cast members working the ride. He is kind of at a lean now, and that seems to be because he is slowly coming off his very heavy base at the feet. I’ve never tried to force him back up as I don’t want to break his legs off. He still stands, just at a lean. The bottom is also wobbly as it was glued down to the set and there’s a ton of old glue residue underneath. Please look at the pics and feel free to ask questions.
