Description: ...,...,......,....,....,.....,.... I am listing a few more dolls from my late mother's doll collection. I am not a collector of these type of vintage dolls, so I've attempted to describe the listed dolls best as possible. But please, you can message me, if I missed anything. . DESCRIPTION: Madame Alexander “Cissette” doll from 1968 - 1969. I think she is # 1172. She was part of the Portrette Series that Alexander did. She is the YELLOW VERSION and often called the “Godey doll”. NO BOX. NO hand-Tag.NO HAT. . Gorgeous doll with pale skin tone. This doll has the bendable THIGHS. Evidently, the Cissettes had bendable thighs instead of bendable knees (like the little Wendy-kins). No twist and turn waist. She has a straight waist. Hand-nails are painted, though some of the paint has rubbed off a bit on a few fingers (see photos). EYES= Gorgeous eyes that open and close correctly. They are a HAZEL color and on the lids the eyes have “blue eyeshadow”. Molded lashes are intact. Brows are nicely painted on. She has slight blush to her cheeks in an apricot color. HAIR= Gorgeous Auburn Red wig, in an old fashioned Victorian style. Still in original set. It's excellent. . OUTFIT= She is wearing a Victorian yellow “day dress” with lots of lace and bows and flounces with taffeta trim on the edges. The gown has an ALEXANDER (fabric) TAG {or label} in back. See close-up photos. . Also, she has on lace trimmed panties, made of taffeta. NO STOCKINGS on her legs. She comes wearing her ivory colored satin high heeled Cissette shoes. Unfortunately, she DOES NOT HAVE HER HAT. I looked everywhere for it in my Mom's doll boxes but could not find it. Therefore, I have to list this doll lower, because of this omission. Also, she does not have her Box nor her hand-tag. . WALKING MECHANISM= This Cissette is NOT A WALKER. . STRINGING= Of course, as almost all of my Mom's Alexanders from the 1950's (and some from the 60's) that I've listed, might need some re-stringing. The aging process does this, evidently.Anyhow, this doll needs to have her inner stringing either re-tightened or the rubber bands inside should probably be replaced to make her limbs TIGHT again. As seen in the photos, this Cissette looks just fine “as is”. And she is indeed fine as is.However, if you prefer your Alexanders to have really tight limbs, then this one would need some re-stringing or re-tightening. Currently, she looks good, but possibly in the future she could use re-stringing. So please keep this in mind. Thank You. . Shipping= Cissette will be shipped in a Uline box to ensure safe delivery and Ground Advantage w/ Tracking and Insurance. .From a non smoking home. Thank You for stopping by. . Lot # 107 BK:5
