Description: This dress is a vintage BEAUTY and has been well cared for. However, it does need some tender loving care in the armpit region as the seams need some restitching. Also originally it did have elastic in the waist just at the sides / back and that elastic has lost all its stretch. The elastic in the sleeves seems like it has been recently replaced. Also I should note the fabric on this is very thin. I’m not sure if it’s worn thin because it’s old or maybe it was that way originally. There doesn’t seem to be areas where it’s thinner than others so maybe it’s just a thin fabric to begin with. It’s very soft and very comfortable to wear, and it looks amazing! OK so obviously this is a square dance dress but let me tell you this is a beautiful dress to wear to a formal occasion such as church or dinner and off the dance floor it doesn’t look like a square dance dress looks like a lovely vintage elegant classic style and very feminine and modest especially if you’re a little bit short so it doesn’t fall too far above your knee. This summer l would wear this to church and get many compliments and then after church I would go to the dance and slip my petticoat on. The seams under the armpits could easily be hand stitched and be good to go. But with it being vintage l can’t guarantee you’re not gonna find more places that need stitched if you’re a romping vivacious dancer like me. I hate to sell this but I put on a couple pounds and another inch up top which I don’t think is going to go away. That’s actually what happened to the seams. 😬😄
