Description: By using 4 - Vivitar 283 units with their Auto Thyristor flash duration of only 1/30,000 of a second, this was the perfect choice for stopping action in small studio setups. The 283 flash units are sync by using 4 slaves which permits all of the flash unitsto be triggered at the same exact time. There’s no need for batteries in each unit because they are hard wired to a DC power source, and a small spot light was included to act as a modeling light. Behind the mounted flash units is the power switch with pilot light, AC power cord, a on/off switch for the modeling light that has a longremote cord, plus a short cord with the #1 slave cell which activates the 1st 283 flash unit which triggers the other 3 flash units. There even a chimera flash ring which permits you to install a small to medium soft box. As a photographer I built this Vivitar 283 X 4 unit to shoot a series of close up studio shots where the action needed to be stopped. Since I did not need this Vivitar 283 X 4 unit and longer I decided to put it on ebay so maybe another photographer might have a use for it.
