Description: This old clock belonged to my grandfather and I found it in my mother's effects. Westclox "Big Ben" alarm clock, type 1a with ring on top, peg legs, and curly X on "Westclox" dates it from 1928-1935. Condition: some tarnished spots on the back and case. Face is mostly clean, glass intact. All winding and adjusting knobs are present. Functionality: alarm works. time adjustment works, alarm settings work. When I wound it for testing, it ticked for a few minutes, then stopped. After shaking it a few times, it ticked until it ran down. It probably needs cleaning or oiling inside.
