Vintage Uneeda Bubblecut Barbie Clone 1960 Fashion Doll Nude Toy

Description: In this listing we have a cute, but slightly TLC vintage fashion doll. This doll has a U on the back of her head, so I believe she is from Uneeda. This doll is a 12 inch fashion doll that looks to be clearly inspired by Mattel’s Barbie doll. This doll has light brown short rooted hair, black and white side glancing eyes, and rose pink lips. She has the most amazing blush on her cheeks. This doll is articulated at the neck, shoulders, and hips. Her hips are the “V” style, so she will splay her legs when she sits. This doll is unmarked, but was most likely made in Hong Kong. My pictures came out a little saturated, the colors are a bit more muted in person. This doll is in slightly TLC shape. She has a lot of issues, but some of them are common for these dolls and she still has a lot of life left in her. I have washed the doll, but she could use a more in depth cleaning. I did use conditioner in the doll’s hair so she does have a faint floral scent to her. The doll’s hair is in okay shape. It is a bit choppy, but I think that’s intentional. There is a bald spot at the top of the doll’s head, but I think that it’s from poor styling and not damage or missing hair. The doll’s hair is the rougher style of hair. The conditioner helped, but it’s not super nice feeling. There is a lot of wear to the doll’s face paint. There are rubs, chips, and missing paint to the eyebrows and eyes. I’m not sure how much of the damage to the eyes is from play compared to factory issues. The doll’s lips look okay, they are painted a little thin, but that looks to be intentional. They also don’t have a super defined edge, the paint isn’t that neat. There is a white line on the center of the top lip. The doll has some really heavy blush. Not sure if it’s original or added, but I couldn’t get any to come off when washing the doll. There is some damage to the doll’s head. There are some scratches and scuffs on several spots on the head. There are some indented pin pricks to the doll’s forehead with some dirt in it. There are also a lot of small molding flaws on the doll’s head. There’s a lot of small molded in lines going across the doll’s head. These are hard to see, but when looking closely at the head you can see a lot of small lines going from the doll’s hairline towards the doll’s face. The doll’s body is in TLC shape. The doll’s torso is in fair shape. She has a lot of small scratches and scuffs to the doll’s torso. There are some deeper scratches to the doll’s right shoulder near the neck. There is a lot of small issues. There is some excess plastic along the shoulder and side seams. The doll’s torso is a blow molded plastic. The plastic on the breasts are a little thin and the plastic is a little sheer at that spot. There is a section of raised or excess plastic on the bottom of the doll’s torso behind the inseam at the legs. The doll’s arms are in rough shape. They arms are super swingy. I think they have shrunk slightly, they pretty much don’t hold any pose. The arms have seam lines and there’s some excess plastic along the seam lines. Both arms have been chewed on. It’s not terrible, but the damage is obvious. There are some dark spots here and there to the arms. The legs are also in TLC shape. They also have seam lines with some excess plastic along the seam lines. There is an indent going across the back of the left leg below the knee. There’s a lot of small scratches and scuffs to the doll’s legs with some stuck in dirt in them. There is a hole in the back of the left heel. The plastic on both heels are very thin and slightly opaque looking. There is some dents to the heels. There is some raised or excess plastic to the back of the left ankle on the right side. There is some red paint to the doll’s toes, but I don’t think it’s original. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
