Please note that this kokeshi figurine is qiute different from many small or miniature kokeshi you see offered on this site - it measures approximately 14.7 inches (37 cm) in height and weighs approximately 1.9 lbs (855 g). The head diameter is approximately 4.1 inches (10.5cm) and foot diameter is 2.2 inches (5.5 cm). Thanks to its substantial size and authentic style, it would work well for interior design. The wood is very well preserved (there are no cracks or splits); however, this is a vintage figurine and there is ageing/wear in the lacquer finish - please review the images. For shipping outside of US, please inquire. Dento, or "traditional", kokeshi have been produced mostly in the Tohoku district in northeastern Honshu, Japan.
