Description: I just finished servicing this Vintage Kodak 35 and it's ready for film. This is Kodak's first U.S. made 35mm camera and has the Anastigmat Special 50mm f/3.5 lens. This is the second version of this camera which dates it to around 1944. I've serviced many of these in the past, they are getting harder to find in this condition. Shutter now fires at all speeds and sounds accurate, lens cleaned up well, focus is now smooth, self timer works flawlessly. The strap rings are not original. Note; The front focusing element of the Anastigmat Special lenses are always (notoriously) heavily fogged and not serviceable. This one cleaned up really well to my surprise. Rare in this condition. This camera has a particular way of loading the film, advancing the film, taking the shot and rewinding the film. It is advised that you find an Owners Manual pdf file online and study it well before using. Once you get used to it I think you'll get a kick out of using this camera. A piece of history. This one is a nice example. This shutter system has the self timer. Make sure you have the shutter cocked first before setting the timer and be careful not to touch the shutter button until you're ready or you'll set the timer in motion, you can't stop it after that.
