Description: Vintage pair of white ceramic fireside spaniel dog figurines 1378-6 (Left) and (Right) made by Royal Doulton in the mid-20th century. They are white with lifelike molding and hand painted details, including black noses and gold collars. They measure about 5 1/2" tall, 4" wide and 3" deep. The left side dog is in excellent condition with no damage at all. The right side dog has a long hairline crack on its back which looks like it started about 1" from the bottom and runs the full height of the figure. But it is very fine and does not affect the integrity of the piece (it is fully and firmly intact) and is only visible from the side view, not the front, so you would never even know it was there if you place this pair on your mantel or shelf in their correct positions. Obviously, the damage is the reason for the low price of these, so here is a chance to get them inexpensively in the US; they are usually only found in England and the shipping from there to here can be very pricey.
