A card measuring approximately 3-1/2" x 5" is affixed in the center beneath the lacquer finish which features the Optimist's International logo and a collage of images representing youth activities. The following words appear as part of the design: YOUTH APPRECIATION WEEK AWARD OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL® FRIEND OF YOUTH® © Copyright 1977 Optimist International A rectangular brass plate is also affixed to the plaque on which is engraved the the following: STEPHEN NACHTIGALL NOVEMBER 17, 1983 A fancy foil label is affixed to the back which reads as follows: For Standing Display Place Dowel Pin Into Lower Hole Decor-Plac, Ltd. St. Louis, Mo. 63128 A brass hanger is provided at the top so that the plaque may be hung on a wall for display. A hole is also provided on the back to accept a dowel so that the plaque might be displayed on a table or desk. The plaque comes with its Original book-style cardboard storage box.
