Description: This darling Navajo cloth doll, which likely dates from the mid-1900s, is beautifully detailed, more detailed than many of this type. She features turquoise and coral beads as jewelry, including a necklace, earrings, bracelets & rings, & hair ornamentation. Her leather hands have little turquoise rings and bracelets. She also has 2 silver or silver-toned metal (unmarked) cuff bracelets. Beaded sequins align along her arms and front. She has a turquoise colored belt with woven silver thread. The full velvet skirt is offset by yellow trim, and she has two colorful petticoats and cloth shoes w/ beaded accents. The bottom of one shoe is signed penciled initials"RM" and the other shoe has numbers, possibly 5.00 - which may be the original price? A beautiful doll in excellent condition.
