VINTAGE MEITO ME1549 PORCELAIN RELISH TRAY JAPAN AQUA & YELLOW FLORAL EX.CON

Description: Beautiful piece of antique Meito bone china (Japan) produced prior to WW2: ME1549 oval Relish Tray/Nut or Candy which is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, pattern loss, discoloration, or even damage to gold trim. This is a beautifully hand painted piece and measures 8 1/2 inches in length and is 5 inches wide. It is 1 1/4 inches deep so perfect to hold pickles, olives, etc. The colors are beautiful: aqua border with yellow scrolls and then ornate pastel floral swags on a very pale yellow background and white in center. The handles are trimmed in gold and the gold is in perfect condition - unusual on a piece this old. I purchased this at a local estate sale - heirs were keeping the place settings from this china set but sold some of the serving pieces. It had all been very well cared for. This piece could also be used on a dresser to hold jewelry, etc. Meito china was founded in 1908 and this pattern dates well prior to WW2. I have priced very reasonably. 1. UPS/Fedex may be slightly more expensive; however, they handle shipments quickly and carefully and are much more reliable and reputable in the unlikely event of damage/loss!
