Description: For sale are 3 vintage Sacred Heart ornate handmade badges/scapulars. The 3 badges appear to be somewhat similar in make. Only one of the badges is still attached to a card by a thread in the back. The other two have a thread on the back and at one time were attached to a card too. I don't know if the contents inside were the same as the one still intact. On the back of the one card, the contents inside are: -Blessings of St. Francis (most likely a tiny piece of paper with the Saint Anthony Blessing's prayer on it "The Lord bless you and keep you...") -Relic of St. Anthony (a tiny 3rd class touch relic cloth that was touched to a relic of Saint Anthony) -Relic of Bl. O. Plunket (Blessed Oliver Plunket- Irish Saint- a tiny 3rd class touch relic cloth that was touched to a relic of Saint Plunket.) -gospels (most likely tiny paper rolls of a few of the gosepls) -Agnus Dei ("Lamb of God" wax sacramental) These badges measure approx. 2" wide by 2 1/4" high. The pictures of Jesus and the Sacred Heart are all covered and protected with a piece of plastic. These badges are vintage and have a lot of age and wear including discoloration and fading and wear to the fabric. Also, the card with the writing is discolored/yellowed and has a lot of wear.
