Description: Decorative architectural model. Perfect on a hall console, library table, or fireplace mantel. The figure is made of lead and appears to represent Caesar, an homage to a variety of eighteenth century "temples" that adorned gardens across Europe. Most inspired by The Temple of Diana by Antonio Asprucci located in Viale della Casina di Raffaello within the park of the Villa Borghese in Rome. Measures 5" wide, 4” deep and 11.5" tall. I believe the figure to be iron or bronze. The columns appear to be metal. The base and top could be plaster, but I am unsure. The piece is heavy. Over 3.5 pounds. Excellent vintage condition. Aged patina with minor scuffing. Minor marks consistent with the age of the piece. There is a nick in the base as seen in photos. There also appears to be a spot of paint(?) on the finial as seen in photo. I did not attempt a deep cleaning. Will leave to the new expert owner. The underside of the base is covered with felt. One corner is loose and you can see in the photo the metal screw used in the columns. Great piece! Estate family item. See photos for details.
