Description: Travel back in time with this vintage homemade lap steel guitar. It comes with an Electro-Voice 805 contact mic. From the context we acquired it, and from its looks, I'd guess it's from about the early 1950s or so. Cosmetically, it looks very worn and homemade. The previous owner put an Electrovoice label on the front of the body. The inside label says "Hawaiian Guitar" with stickers. There is a rose decal on the headstock. Some of the block fret markers have come off. The binding on the body is peeling off. The body isn't wood. It's more like a thick cigar box. It is old. Functionally, it is a total repair project. The neck is separating from the body. The side of the body is also separating in the back. No strings. The output jack for the Electro-Voice contact mic is an odd two-prong jack. Thus, I have no way of testing it. The case is very worn. It's also handmade Both the top and the bottom are open. The top of the case is all chewed up. It will be well-wrapped in bubble wrap inside a stout instrument cardboard box for shipping. Who's up for a repair project? Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 36"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
