Vintage ACME Wall Mount Retractable Clothesline - Hand Crank

Description: Grandma's Laundry Line . . . My grandmother lived on the 2nd floor of a bank building and there was no place to hang her newly washed laundry. So she would have used something like this ACME RETRACTABLE CLOTHESLINE that was mounted on the wall and could extend 11' (as this one does) up the hallway and attach to hook at the other end. The breeze from the windows would dry the laundry and the line would be reeled back in when finished. A practical piece for the mid-century laundry room. Manufacturer: ACME - Made in USA Year: Mid-Century Measurements: Metal Piece - 3" tall x 4.5" screw mount to screw mount x 2" wide - CLOTHESLINE - 11' long double line when pulled out. Metal case is in good pre-owned vintage condition. Some surface scratches. Cloth line is intact, no breaks. Hand crank works. Branded ACME. Sold as is. View photos before purchasing.
