Description: Here’s a great 1940s fedora made for the American market featuring a 3 7/8” gold/tan bound brim. The binding has the hidden stitch method on the bottom of the binding. The binding’s top stitching is done by hand in a basting type manner that I’ve only seen usually reserved for high end expensive hats. The felt is dress weight of great quality. The sweatband is nice and supple with no fear of cracking. No moth damage, or other issues other than the sweat stains on the silk liner, which could likely be cleaned, I haven’t tried. Has a matching wind trolley. Very sweet hat indeed! The size tag says 7 1/8 Hand Blocked. Crown at front pinch 4 9/16” Brim 2 15/16” 1” black hat band and bow. Head opening measurements 7 3/4”x 6 1/4” Check out my other vintage hats!
