Description: Vintage 1991 APPLE MACINTOSH Classic II Computer including Mouse & Keyboard - Without Hard Drive Model M4150 -- with the Original Box (This is a Classic II - not just a Classic model) For repair or parts -- Not Working -- and without hard drive I am the original owner of this Macintosh Classic II. After purchasing this Classic II in 1991 or 1992, I used it briefly until I purchased a Windows 95 computer. Then I safely stored it in a closet (while everything was still working perfectly) for the subsequent decades until now. The computer, keyboard and mouse were stored inside the original box to limit exposure to light, dust, etc. The included photos show how nice it still looks. Please also note the photos showing the nice condition of the internal components. However, when I turned it on recently, all I saw was a relatively large white rectangle on the display that did not fill the screen. The next time I turned it on, I just saw a blank display. So I opened the case and took out the logic board to get a closer look. I carefully looked at everything I could see but did not find anything that looked like corrosion, leaking capacitors, etc, to me. This includes the battery which looked just fine. Except for some dust on the air vent, everything inside looked OK to me. Since I am no expert, please take a close look at the photos for yourself. Please note that the Apple power cord is not the original; it is from an Apple Imagewriter printer. The hard drive is not included -- to protect personal information. However, experts from a vintage Macintosh forum indicate there are better modern alternatives that can replace the original hard drive. They suggested replacing the hard drive with a modern SD card using guidance that could be found by searching topics such as “Macintosh scsi hard drive replacement SD card”. The photos are of the actual items for sale. The original box with the original foam inserts will be used for shipping to provide a secure shipment. I would like to share some advice that experts gave me (more recently) regarding vintage Apple Macintosh computers from this era. PLEASE NOTE THAT EXPERTS STRONGLY ADVISED that, before turning the vintage Mac on for the first time, you should first do a proper inspection/analysis to determine what electronic parts need to be repaired or replaced -- to avoid harming the computer. If you haven't done that before, you might find it useful to do an Internet search for something like "how to restore a Macintosh Classic II". For example, if the original battery is still inside, you should definitely replace it before turning on the computer. Other parts, for example, capacitors, may also need to be replaced before turning on the Mac to avoid creating new problems. YOUR SATISFACTION.
