Description: ***********The Omega 1250/ESA 9162 electronically controlled tuning fork movement received a complete overhaul in September 2024. Although no paperwork will be included my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back. It runs strong, keeps time to within specs (+-30 seconds per day) and the date wheel rolls over as it should.***********This seldom seen vintage 1970 Omega f300, which came from the estate of its original owner, has a lovely silver linen "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial and the original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a warm buttermilk hue. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear and minor signs of oxidation. The outside of the case back is personally engraved with "W.R.M." The inside of the case back is stamped "OMEGA" followed by "WATCH Co,""FAB.SUISSE,""SWISS MADE,""ACIER INOXYDABLE,""198003" and "MOVEMENT LICENSED BULOVA & PAT. ESA." The crystal, which I believe is original, has the Omega logo and shows light scratching. The 12 jewels unadjusted Swiss OMEGA 1250/ESA 9162 electronically controlled tuning fork movement with hack and quickset date features keeps time to within specs (+-30 seconds per day) and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The movement received a complete overhaul in September 2024. Although no paperwork will be included my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling the signed crown out to the first position and then turning it clockwise to reverse the date and counterclockwise to advance it. The hack feature works by pulling the crown out to the second and final (time setting) position which stops the seconds hand. When the crown is pushed back in the seconds hand resumes moving. The serial number "32836537," which is stamped on the movement, dates this watch to 1970. This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 36 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 7 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 9.5 mm. The lug to lug distance measures approximately 42 mm.Although the movement keeps time to within specs and the date wheel rolls over without issue there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 24 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided.
