Description: Vintage 1960's WEST OAKLAND SOUL FOOD COOK BOOK - RARE! $$ please read! I have found few of these by research online and they are very expensive, between $150 and $400+. PLEASE NOTE** This was purchased from a San Francisco estate sale where all the books were very old. This was published in the 1960's, though this looks to be a mimeographed copy, bound in old-style cream color plastic spiral binding. You can tell it's not recent. They have mixed up the first two pages. Cover says page 3 at the top, next is page 2. In looking at other copies, I think al that's missing is page 1 and it's a blank page. The table of contents is on page 7 (photographed here) after the introduction, so it looks complete with 47 numbered pages, but no blank page. And, 2 extra pages, not numbered, at the back with Fondue recipes. For this reason, I'm pricing this way under market. Ships well protected.
