Description: This vintage 1948 Varga girl calendar pin-up litjo is a beautiful piece of art that will add a touch of classic glamour to any room. The pin-up, by the famous artist Alberto Vargo, features a stunning woman, "New Year's Eve," provocatively posing in a sheer pink gown that provides just the right amount of mystery. The piece is an original page pulled from the 1948 calendar, which was then placed in a gilded frame floating on a royal blue mat. Unfortunately, there is a side-to-side crease across her back, and you can see where small pieces of tape were used on the backside to secure the page to the mat. It still doesn't detract from the beauty of the piece, and there's probably a great story about how that crease came to be. The frame measures approximately 14-3/4" high by 10-1/2" wide, and the litho print measures 12" by 8-1/2" wide. This piece of pin-up art is a great addition to any collector, whether you're a lover of pin-up art or vintage decor. Please read the full description and view the photos closely before purchasing. Condition is "Pre-owned". Thanks for taking a look! If you all things vintage or unique, please check out my other listings.
