The set includes four rectangular trays, each measuring 16.25 inches long, 7.55 inches wide, 0.2 inches internal depth, and 0.1 inches thick. Each tray weighs 5.7 ounces a piece. Hasko trays were made by Heskelite Manufacturing Coporation of Chicago, Illinois. Advertisements for these trays began appearing within newspapers in 1939 (Newspapers online document repository). The back of the original box gives the following description: "HASKO trays, made by this new process, known as Haskomold, are the very last word in fine trayware. With this process we are not only able to offer the most beatiful, but also the most durable tray, at a price within the reach of all.""HASKO trays are the perfect trays for parties, bridge, luncheons, picnics, buffet suppers, tears, formal and information get-togethers. Just the thing for ices drinks, hors d'oeuvres, sanchies, cakes and are ideal for lap tray service.""IMPORTANT NOTICE -- HASKO Trays are made with pressed wood and the surface (back and front) is durable paper lithographed to represent rare wood grains. To clean, simply wipe with a damp (Not Wet) cloth.""The name "Haskelite" of "Hasko" assured you of the finest in trayware.
