Description: In 1866, Raphael Tuck (1821-1900), along with his wife, started the London company of "Raphael Tuck & Sons", which sold furniture, picture frames, greeting cards, and eventually, postcards. Postcards were introduced in 1899 and quickly become the most successful part of the business. Raphael House was destroyed by German bombs, and the originals for most of the postcard series were lost. In 1959, the company combined with two others to become the British Printing Corporation (renamed British Printing & Communications Corporation in 1982 and Maxwell Communications Corporation in 1987).This RARE antique embossed and divided post card features a Hallowe'en parade of devil, witch, black cat and gourd man. Raised embossed. This vintage post card, circa 1910, is in good condition for its age with a little loss of paint. There is minor wear on the corners and gold border edges without any creases, tears, or rips on the card. Aged gracefully and beautifully.
