Description: Original, antique photograph of a very tall young man; he appears to be as much as 7 feet tall. Cabinet card , 4 1/4" x 6 1/2" Studio portrait made by " Burrell , Photo Artist " in Providence , Rhode Island Undated ; circa 1890. Very good condition. ( see the photos ). ---------- The young man is unidentified but possibly lived in either Rhode Island or Massachusetts. He was obviously very tall and may have qualified as a " giant ", over 7 feet tall. His left hand rests on a fireplace mantelpiece. If the mantel top is 48" above the floor, then, with a little measuring and calculating, this young man's height can be estimated at approximately 7' 5" tall. 2 5/8" from mantel top to floor. 4 7/8" to the back of the young man's shoe. If the mantel is 48" high, then his height is around 89", or 7' 5" tall. If the mantel is 45" high, then his height is around 83.5", or just under 7' tall. His height is a calculated estimate, but he is obviously very tall. -------- Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer.
