Description: Offered here is a beautiful and impressive challenge coin that commemorates the A-7 era for the Sunliners of VA-81. The squadron flew the A-7 Corsair II from 1970 until 1988 from NAS Cecil Field. The coin is an impressive 2" wide, and 3mm thick, cast in gold-tone metal with great colors and texture. One side of the coin features the squadron's insignia, while the other side of the coin features a tailhook, and emblems of the squadron's air wing and carriers that they deployed on. Both sides of the coin are framed by a gold-tone rope border. They would make a wonderful gift for anyone who served with VA-81, or would make a great addition to any collection.
