ASSEMBLY IS REQUIRED, NO INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED SO YOU WILL HAVE TO USE THE PHOTOS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO ASSEMBLE! ALL THE PIECES SNAP TOGETHER - NO TOOLS NEEDED FOR ASSEMBLY. There were several cracks in the plastic and broken pieces, all of which HAVE BEEN REPAIRED using Plastruct Plastic Weld glue (see last two photos.) The ELEVATOR WORKS PERFECTLY.
