Description: This Used 2006 Fender Custom Shop 1959 Esquire Closet Classic in Vintage Blonde is here on consignment. The guitar is in nice cosmetic shape with one chip/ding near the output jack. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. This 59 Esquire has period correct specs like a 59 Esquire Neck (which is very similar to a 60s oval C Strat neck, in terms of dimensions), 7.25" fingerboard radius, vintage frets, and the top-loader style bridge. Classic Fender appointments like Vintage Style Tuners, 25.5" scale length, 1.65" nut width, and a bone nut cover the neck specs. The neck pickup was replaced with a Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack for noiseless operation. The bridge pickup is the stock Tele/Esquire pickup from the Custom Shop. A master volume, master tone, and 3-way switch (with a white Strat-style switch tip) round out the electronic details. The classic combo of Maple and Ash provides a bright, articulate top-end with plenty of snap and pop. This guitar will cut through the mix with ease! This is also a light-weight guitar that comes in at a manageable 7 lbs 4 oz.
