They do run a bit large to accommodate for extra layering in cold conditions. The N-3B Extreme Cold Weather (ECW) Pants was designed for use in the coldest temperatures on our planet. Its exterior is water resistant for wear in snowy conditions. The N-3B also features suspenders for quick on and off and keep everything in its place. This pants was typically issued to the US Air Force, specifically for use on bases in Alaska or other extremely cold locations. They're rated to a frigid -60 degree Fahrenheit. Wherever there's a winter, the N-3B will help keep your warm and stave off frostbite. Its outer shell is 100% cotton and the fur is 60% modacrylic and 40% wool. Grade 1: Excellent to New/Unissued – Military Surplus products are US Government Issued products and are rated in excellent to new/un-issued condition. These products may be outside of original manufacturer's packaging but they will show minimal or no signs of wear. Grade 2: Good to Very Good – Products may have been previously washed and light pilling may be present but they retain 100% of their original functionality. Products may have light staining, or marks no holes. All in good working order still. Grade 3: Fair to Serviceable - Due to wear and laundering products may not be as thick as when originally issued but are still in serviceable condition.
