This is a Disc/Disc Kit and includes the Residiual Valves This is an under floor frame mount bolt on kit; which includes brackets and pedal assembly found in most Ford, Chevy, Plymouth, Olds, Buick, and Studebaker street rod car and truck applications and is compatible with disc/disc or disc/drum setups. THIS IS FOR A DISC/DISC APPLICATION ONLY Kit includes: 7" zinc plated single diaphragm brake booster 1" bore "Corvette style" master cylinder Clutch Master Cylinder (7/8") Red painted pedal assembly 2 Rubber Brake/Clutch Pads (2) 2lb Residual Valve This kit also includes the necessary residual brake pressure valves (TWO valves). These valves are used with any disc brake application where the master cylinder is located under the floor. When the master cylinder is under the floor, it is usually lower than the calipers. Gravity and vibration can cause brake fluid to leak back to the master cylinder away from the calipers, causing a loss of brake pressure. These valves will act as a one way check valve that prevents this type of bleed-back. Without it, there is a good chance that the brakes will drag or give out completely! These valves are an inexpensive and necessary addition to your brake system. This is for TWO valves, one for the front discs and one for the back discs (blue - 2 pound pressure). Depending on your application...Some minor modification (cutting and/or welding) may be necessary. Note: Safety comes first. Any brake service should only be performed by persons experienced in the installation and proper operation of brake systems. It is the responsibility of the person installing any brake component or kit to determine the suitability for the particular application. After installation and prior to operating vehicle, brake function should be tested under controlled conditions.
