It possibly could be earlier than World War Two? Double sided flag has the crown with wreath with Japanese writing in the center and at the bottom three white stripes at the top and gold ribbon at bottom with tassels. It’s made of silk like material has it’s original wood shaft up at the top with very ornate brass fittings on both ends of the wood shaft with its original rope with hooks. The Japanese banner flag is 100% original and Authentic! Huge size flag measurements for the flag are 48 inches tall and 28 inches wide. I purchased this Japanese flag from a military museum in Las Vegas. I had a Japanese man come into my antique store and I asked him what it said and he told me that it was authentic and original and that it was army military youth flag and honor and defend. There’s more to what it says but can’t remember everything he told me about it. It possibly could be earlier than World War Two? Condition of this Japanese banner flag is in good condition for its age there are some stains and creases on the flag but nothing major that I can see. I wasn’t able to find anything like it on eBay or google.
