Description: Maker: On the reverse of this lovely pair of chocolate cups and saucers is the red back stamp number 34 of Theodore Haviland, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. According to the third edition of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, this mark was in use between 1904 and the 1920s. An impressed TH white ware mark also appears. Design: The pattern - called Schleiger H2402 - features lovely yellow roses and green leaves against a background of fine white porcelain. It's beautifully hand painted, in keeping with the exceptionally high quality that made the company's porcelain so famous and so coveted.
