Each blank measures approximately 4" X 4" X 11". Processed green and completely sealed with wax. These blanks will make beautiful turnings for whatever you have in mind. A great value for the wood shop. FREE delivery to your door! Red Elm (Ulmus Rubra) is a small to medium size tree that originated in North America. Red Elm wood is known for having sapwood that is white to light brown in color and heartwood that has a reddish brown to dark brown color. Red Elm lumber can have a grain that is straight, but often has a grain that is interlocking. Red Elm is hard and stiff with good bending and shock resistance. Red Elm is also moderately heavy in weight. Red Elm is fairly easy to work (sand and stain) and can provide a nice finish. If you have custom lumber you need send us an e-mail. We deal mainly in oak, maple, cherry, walnut, sycamore, sassafras, hickory, and poplar. Actual measurements may vary as much as 1/4".
