Description: TRIUMPH T140 BONNEVILLE TR7 TIGER DISC BRAKE INNER FORK TOP NUTS (2) 20TPI PN# 97-4387 This fork cap nut is used in the 1973-on forks with internal springs. It is part of a two-piece system that includes an outer cap. This is the lower fork cap nut with the locating tip to capture the fork spring and is covered with either 97-4395 or 97-7034 outer cap. Top quality by L.F. Harris Triumph disc brake fork inner top nut as used on Triumph 750 triple Tridents, T150 and T160 models. They will also fit disc brake T140 Bonneville and TR7 Tigers from 1973 onwards. These are sold as a pair and are 20 TPI. The fork cap correctly aligns the internal spring and seals the oil inside of the fork tube. The fork cap is tightened using a large hex key in the recessed socket. The outer fork cap is then threaded into the lower fork cap nut to cover the exposed recessed socket. IMPORTANT NOTE: These top fork nuts are 20 TPI with thread OD 1 3/16th (1.187). Check the TPI of your forks before purchase to ensure fitment of these top nuts. This is the inner cap for 1970s forks; 97-4395 threads onto the top of it.
