Description: Offered here is a vintage classic Children's Nickel Magazine: "Tip Top Weekly No. 490", "Dick Merriwell's Support Or, Backed Up When Getting His Bumps", September 2, 1905 , approx. 10 7/8" X 8 3/8", Published by Street & Smith, New York. Issued weekly. In acceptable condition, the spine is split and covers and some pages separated, chipping on the top and bottom edges, light internal oxidation - VERY THIN paper. Came from the original family - purchased from a gentlemen whose great grandfather owned these originally. MANY of these early one have issues with the left side corners. I really believed they were clipped back in the day - maybe remainder stock?? Strange that the same exact corners on each one seem clipped.
