Description: I purchased a massive estate-sale lot of over 2,000 vintage 45s in seven crates, all records sleeved. Owner was a savvy collector, it's loaded with old soul, rock, R&B, doo wop, Northern Soul, hip-hop, funk, obscurities, rarities, promos, novelties, etc. I will be listing quite a few over the coming months, stay tuned! Some obscure doo-wop/gospel, this is an odd one. This version with the 1959-62 Dooto label can't be found on Discogs (or anywhere else... EBay, Popsike etc.), the only version listed on Discogs is the original 1956 one on the older Dootone label (they changed their name to Dooto for some reason.) So I'm calling this a hard-to-find reissue from '59. From Discogs: 'The Zion Travelers were B. L. Watkins, 1st Leader; L. C. Cohen, Second Leader and Manager; L. W. Van, 1st Tenor; Garland Fate Mason, Second Tenor; Wesley J. Sherman, Baritone; Felton Vernon, Bass. The group was organized in 1944 in Los Angeles, California, and has toured the United States and Canada. They have been featured in two motion pictures, "God of the Mountains" and "Miracle Through Songs". Their best selling record is "Two Little Fishes" Dooto Records 389 CONDITION: Record is Vg+, clean, no scuffs or scratches, plays great with some crackle here and there.
