You're looking at a SUPERB condition vinyl LP and 1980 FIRST PRESSING in the wonderful Hindsight Records "Uncollected" Big Band series featuring THE ARTIE SHAW ORCHESTRA titled "The Uncollected Artie Shaw and His Orchestra, Volume 4: 1939"--the album features beautifully recorded Broadcasts from Cafe Rouge at the Pennsylvania Hotel in New York City on October 20, and 21, 1939. The recordings feature instrumentals and some vocals by HELEN FORREST and TONY PASTOR and featured soloists GEORGIE AULD on tenor saxophone and BUDDY RICH on drums, and the liner notes includes insightful remarks and observations by Artie Shaw. The LP is a 1980 Hindsight Records issue with the serial number HSR-149, is a 1st PRESSING of this compilation and a true MONO recording made in the United States. This LP is in SUPERB overall condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT- (Ex) condition and should play beautifully, with some light paper scuffs that should not significantly affect play but no other significant flaws; the cover is still in the ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINKWRAP with a clean opening edge opening and is in NEAR MINT condition with a very slight crease on the lower right corner of the front but NO significant imperfections--it's NOT a cutout! The original plain white inner sleeve is also included.
