Description: The Standells - Dirty Water 45 "Dirty Water" is a song by the American rock band The Standells, written by their producer Ed Cobb. The song is a mock paean to the city of Boston, Massachusetts, and its then-famously polluted Boston Harbor and Charles River.According to Standells keyboardist Larry Tamblyn, at least some of the song (notably the references to "lovers and thieves") was inspired by a mugging of Cobb in Boston. Questionable marks and scratches are usually tested on a turntable and noted in the listing. VG-: The record may have some scratches that will be deep enough to feel. Audible clicks and pops may be consistently present, but no skips. G: A record that has been played and not taken care of. Constant background noise will be present. Buyer should view records with this grade as filler copies.
