Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE "The Legacy of the Exposition", a compendium of letters and commentary presented to the board of the Exposition Company reflecting on the "intellectual and moral heritage" left by the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition at San Francisco. Published by the Exposition Company, prepared by James A. Barr, printed by J. H. Nash, 1916, the single edition I believe. 9-1/2" by 7", 185 pages. The cover shows considerable wear and soiling; the original binding is similar to that of Barry's "City of Domes" edition, with rust cloth boards and a small title label on the linen spine. Damage to the covering and spine fabric. The inside pages however are generally clean and show minimal darkening, what is present mainly due to the type of paper stock used. The edge sown binding is primarily sound however slightly loose in spots. A reasonable useful reference copy if not absolutely perfect and collectible – priced accordingly. Out of my general reference collection of 1915 PPIE material. Please Note: sold with my standard return policy but please consider the condition prior to purchase, to avoid disappointment for the both of us. I believe that I have adjusted price reasonably to account for the condition and value, compared to other examples of this same book recently sold on ebay.
