Description: Offered here are two coin auction catalogs from 1981 both of which showcases an extensive collection of Foreign/US coins (Part 1) and United States coins (Part 2) and from the Earl Victor Tuttle Collection. This was another premium collection auction done by Bowers & Ruddy Galleries of Los Angeles, CA. The auction spanned three days from June 15-17th, 1981 Part 1 was done over the course of two days - June 15-16, 1981. Part 1 (94 pages) is of all Foreign coins spanning a couple thousand years from Ancient to the 20th century. Also some foreign currency. Part 2 (69 pages) was done over 2 days - June 16-17, 1981. Part 2 was of all U.S. coins from colonial into the 20th century. No currency that I can see although there was an assortment of commemorative coins as well as a fine array of regular mintage U.S. items of high quality. As with most period B&R auction catalogs, each volume has many hundreds of well rendered B&W photographs of the coins with an assortment of choice ones in a set of color plates in the front of each volume. Neither of the catalogs have the prices realized listing. Condition of both the catalogs are essentially "mint" (to use coin jargon) with no soiling, rips, writing or other damage. Shipping will be via USPS Media Mail rate. I will be listing more Bowers & Ruddy catalogs from the early to mid-1980s and will be happy to combine multiple listings purchases for shipping to lower the cost which has gone up of recent. Please feel free to ask questions about any particular catalog as far as the coins, currency and related items it concentrated on!
