Description: The Thailand 500 Baht Banknote was issued by the Government of Thailand in 2001. The note is predominantly and is 156 x 72 mm in size. Its obverse features Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) wearing the uniform of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. It also features the Royal Garuda emblem and the royal seal. The reverse of the note depicts the Metal Castle at the Ratchanaddaram Temple, the statue of seated Rama III at the Maha Chestsadabodin Pavilion, a Chinese sailing ship, and the Royal Garuda emblem. The note contains a holographic stripe, a windowed security thread with a demetallized denomination, and a watermark that reveals Rama IX and an electrotype symbol “Prajumyan”. It also bears a registration device in the form of cotton rose petals. The note is signed by Tarisa Watanagase and Korn Chatikavanij. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
